Mariborsko Pohorje

Pohorje is a known sport and ski resort above the city of Maribor. It is world famous for the FIS Women Ski Comp. that takes place here every year. Start is located just 50 m under the hotel Bellevue and is suitable for less experienced pilots as well. There is fantastic view at the city. We fly there in north weather situation and normally in interesting thermic conditions. We made some nice flatland XC flights here with great possibilities for the future and the D-day yet to come.
Start and landing places are marked on the map. Access is very easy with the ski cable cabin. You can check for wind at automatic weather station dialling +386-31-712308 (response is in Slovenian language only: wind [m/s], direction [N, S, NE, ...], peaks [m/s], temperature [°C]).
